"Charlie Mae's Career Day" is a children's book about a little girl faced with the impossible task of deciding - and drawing a picture of - what she wants to be when she grows up for a school assignment. As she throws herself into her assignment, she comes to realize her true passion: art. The images throughout the book are designed not only to tell a somewhat autobiographical story, but they also include nods to some of my favorite artists and their work.
